Dare to be different, this ChainMaille “Byzantine Ladder” Copper Bracelet is far from your traditional jewelry. It was created using the ancient art of ChainMaille weaving that dates as far back as 2700 years. The Art of weaving ChainMaille has been a long time passion. I am driven, there is always a new design that I want to do and I love doing the obscure weaves that others do not include in their body of work.
This ChainMaille Copper Bracelet “Byzantine Ladder Weave”is a Labor of Love. This isdefinitely a keepsake to be handed down. It is unique. This design is not one of the “popular” design. This sets out to be different. You will not find someone else wearing this copper bracelet, it is rare to find.
The artist breathes life into the wire and the wire starts its magical journeyfrom a boring piece of wire to becoming this beautiful bracelet. Each piece has its own story and the artist becomes part of it. Its unique journey continues with the story of you the owner. It is a very cool feeling to be part of the process. Each piece is unique to itself. That is because there is no machine making it.
It amazes me at all the different designs you can do with just round wire. It starts with taking wire and coiling it into a spring shape. It is then put into a cutting jig where the spring is cut into hundreds of rings. Each jump ring is then open and weaved its own unique design. ChainMaille is extremely time-consuming. You must be precise for the pattern to hold its beauty and shape. If the jump rings are slightly too big the pattern is sloppy and not professional looking. If the rings are just slightly small you can not weave it. This design takes 2 Byzantine Weave Bracelets and connect them with a partial Byzantine Weave. It is more than 2 bracelets. A very time consuming and difficult weave. It is Extraordinary Keepsake.
Why Buy This ChainMaille Copper Bracelet from Me?
You will not find another artist offering such a large variety of Chainmaille Jewelry that I do covering Bracelets, Necklaces, Pendants and Earrings.
Finishing to me is just as important as the creating and the weaving. This is where some artist get in a hurry they have spent all their time creating it. Now they just want to get started on the next project. I have learn to not get in a hurry at the end this is where the beauty really shines through. I want to make sure the buyer has a smooth snag free keepsake jewelry. I do this by tumbling the piece over a two-day process. I use four different tumbling media’s. 12 hours for each step. I know of no other artist taking this extra step.
As with all my copper jewelry this item has been lacquer twice to help prevent tarnish.
The clasp is the only part not lacquer and needs upkeep.
